Only a few days to go before this years Tiree 10k & Half Marathon. It’s already a record breaking year with over 250 entries and still places left for people to enter on the day.
This week there is a huge amount of baking going on for the Runners Cafe at the hall – this will be open all day on Saturday and will be serving soup, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, cakes, cookies, flapjacks… everything you need whether you’ve run, walked or just spectated.
We’re also pleased to report that Trail West are on their usual great form and will be playing the dance in the evening. Doors open at 8pm with the prize giving at 9pm. Tickets available at registration and all through the day at the hall.
If you’re wondering how to get home after the dance – there’s a bus service on Tiree but it needs to be booked in advance. For groups this can be done by contacting John Kennedy Taxi’s – click here for details. If you’re not in a group and just want a lift home, drop me an email and if there are sufficient numbers I’ll arrange a private booking. But this needs to be done in advance so I can arrange it with the taxi company!
It looks set to be a great weekend. Registration is friday 6pm-9pm and saturday 10am-1pm, so I’ll see you there!
