Tiree 10k & Half Marathon
The first ever Tiree Half Marathon, and the 8th edition of the Tiree 10k – the 2013 event was definitely the best yet. At the prize giving on Saturday night there was a real sense of achievement, magnified by the challenging weather conditions, and justified by the number of people who told me this was their first half marathon, or they beat their PB, or that it was simply the hardest thing they’ve ever done. With a winning Half Marathon time of 1hr13 it was a day of extremes from start to finish. The 10k event saw record entry numbers and a new course record. The kids event saw the fastest ever 2km time and some promising young runners. And the ceilidh was one of the best nights I’ve seen on Tiree; great music, great atmosphere, very late finish!
So thank you everyone who helped make it such a special weekend.

Next years event: Saturday 3rd May 2014 – Bank Holiday weekend. 10k & Half Marathon. We learn things each year and always try and make the event even better so any comments or feedback you have just send them my way.
Improve Your Run training camps: March 2014 – we’re offering a 5 day residential training camp on Tiree focussed around setting you up for a stronger run. Dates are 20th – 25th March 2014. It’s 5 days of quality fitness training plus a whole island experience. Price is £395 all inclusive.
Or if you prefer something sooner and somewhere Mediterranean then we’ve got a 7 day all inclusive training camp in Mallorca from 13th – 20th October 2013. This camp is aimed at runners, cyclists, triathletes and all round fitness boot campers. It’s based at the stunning seaside town of Puerto Pollensa which is at the foot of the mountains. It’s ideally set up for this sort of thing and the trip is all inclusive so meals, snacks, coffees, drinks at the bar – it’s all included. The price for this week is £575

It makes you fitter, builds you up, and makes you stronger and more confident. It will inspire you and motivate you to train in new ways, with fresh ideas and to do all that within a group of like minded people in a positive atmosphere.
