Tiree Fitness founder: Will Wright
Qualifications: Premier Diploma in Personal Training, REPS Level 3, Sports Massage Therapist, Kettlebell Instructor, Triathlon Coach, Advanced Windsurf Instructor, Sports Nutrition, Circuit Training, Exercise to Music and Core Stability.
Experience: 15 years of coaching and training, plus experience gained from 10+ years of racing triathlon, mountain bikes and running. Ironman pb 9hrs33 and marathon pb 2hrs40 – all training done on this tiny Scottish island with no swimming pool. Still hate cold water and jelly fish though!
Our instructors have a range of different qualifications and backgrounds; each member of the team brings their own experience, method of coaching and personality to the sessions. We all share a passion for fitness training, and for enjoying the unique environment for training on Tiree.
Bella’s a qualified gym instructor with a wealth of experience in the Pilates method and movement based flexibility. Before she came to Tiree she was a professional animator, so has a keen eye for detail and for observing movement patterns. Bella delivers group classes to local residents on Tiree and is a valued part of the Training Camp team.
Tom travels the short distance from Connel to be part of the Training Camp crew. Tom’s a two time Tiree Ultramarathon Champion, and is our light footed mountain goat, with a particular expertise in Extreme Gardening. Tom is now lesser spotted on Tiree due to daddy duties and increasingly popular gardening activities, but he’s still a honorary member of the team and will sure be seen again gracing the beaches of Tiree!
