The Tiree 10k & Half Marathon is an annual event on the Hebridean island of Tiree. Known for its perfect beaches, sunshine, crystal clear waters and relaxed pace of life; Tiree is such a special place to run. We look forward to welcoming you on your island adventure.
There's information below, along with course maps and a link to the Facebook group. Entry fills up quick, so be ready to go as soon as it opens.
Entry for 2027 opened on Sunday 11th October. Congrats everyone who got a place, that filled up in under an hour!
Entry status is now FULL, but we have a last batch of places which will be released on Sunday 20th December at 6pm. There's no waiting list, just be ready to enter on time. All will be well, we'll get you sorted with a place.

We're taking you on a journey around the West end of the island
The 10k and the Half Marathon start at the same time, and follow the same route until about 7km when they branch off. It's a great atmosphere and you'll be supported around the whole course.

The Tiree 10k & Half Marathon started in 2006 and has grown to be a much anticipated event on the island calendar. Visiting runners are welcome along with local residents and we’ve had people travel from as far as Slovakia and Brazil just to do the race. The atmosphere is friendly and continues into the night with the legendary event ceilidh. There’s a prize giving with unique prizes for top overall finishers, age groups, teams and some spot prizes.

All entry fees are non-refundable. There will be NO refunds given once you enter so please make sure you can run on the event date before entering. It's also worth checking your travel and accommodation options before entering.
TRANSFER WINDOW: There will be a transfer window in December and another in February. Let us know if you cant make it so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
EVENT CANCELLATION: If the event has to be cancelled owing to forces outside the organisers control, no entry fees can be refunded. This includes cancellation due to weather conditions.
TRAVEL DISRUPTION: If the ferry or plane is cancelled - unfortunate and dissapointing as this is - we are not able to offer refunds or deferals to the following year.
In the interests of being fair to everyone, there will be no exceptions to the cancellation terms in this policy.
When you enter the event you will be offered cancellation insurance. We recommend exploring this option if you want to cover the cost of your entry.
Organising events on a little island is tricky. And we know that travelling to events on a little island is equally tricky! The cancellation policy allows us to run an event in a sustainable way and gives clear terms so that everyone is treated equally.
