Course Updates for 2021

This year's event will start and finish on Gott Bay. This legendary beach has been known to test the bravest of souls. Hail, wind, rain and even snow has lashed across these sands. But this year that's all changed. We've booked the sunshine, and the beach is broken in two halves. It looks like this:

  • Start line on the beach outside the Lodge Hotel at 8am
  • Run anti-clockwise around the island keeping the sea on your right hand side
  • Finish back on Gott Bay and refresh, refuel and rejoice at the Lodge

We're looking forward to the challenge of running the course the other way round. Existing course records still stand. All PB's are still in place. You'll enjoy new sight lines and fresh beach views. And that wall at Happy Valley - you're going down that!

Race HQ will be on the beach all weekend including event sign-in, number collection and finish info. The Lodge and Scarinish Hotels will be serving food, and there will be live music and celebrations keeping in line with social distancing rules. Full details and timings will be sent out nearer the time. It's going to be an amazing weekend. See you on the beach!

“Superb from start to finish – can’t stop grinning! Love Tiree!”
